National Day! On August 9th, Singapore turned 42! Happy Birthday Singapore!

You should have seen the Bangalas though...they were grabbing flags by the handful =.- I have no idea what for either...I mean, just cuz they're free? LOL Well, whatever floats their boats.

We later up with Jerome, Honey, Shan and Gary! (We had asked them to order Subway sandwiches "to go" so we could eat at our destination :D yay! i love Subway!) The Popo started sealing off the esplanade area because of the crowd -.- And after MUCH more walking, we ended up at the field near the esplanade.

It was super crowded but we got a rather good spot for firework viewing :D They were beautiful!! My favorites are definitely the big ones that sparkle after their explosion. Heehee I do wish they had the smiley faced ones though (--,)

After the show, Gary and Phy left, so the rest of us went to Hong Kong Cafe! We had baked rice, tea, noodles and this crazy mountain of ice. LOL The night was super entertaining and I think I could sit there laughing forever :D
